Alcatraz

Another fun weekend with the Henry's, only this time we went to Alcatraz. We got on the ferry to ride over early that morning, and then did the tour. It was really fascinating and something I would recommend doing at least once when you're in San Francisco. My favorite part was during about 5 or 6 chapters of the story my headset only played the backround noises, not the narration. I had no clue what was going on I just kept following the group -it was pretty funny actually.

The view from Alcatraz is so pretty. You can see everything! It made the city seem so small, from where we were at least.

The girls were such troopers during the tour, they both sat in their stroller the entire time! We all needed a little bit of a break after the tour and so we let the girls run around and play on this wall for a bit while we took some pictures.

The Funnest Day Part Two

Here are Matt and Maddie at the top of Coit Tower. After taking the bite size elevator up to the top we then had to walk up a narrow winding stair case to the actual tower. Keeping the girls from going up and down the stairs while we were up there was quite a task. Not to mention keeping Olivia from flying down them face first!

On the trolly heading downtown for some shopping and a few rides in the elevator at the St. Francis Hotel. We were downtown for hours, it was so fun. One of my favorite parts was when we tried to take a taxi back to the wharf where our cars were parked. We saw a van taxi and when we got in two of the seven seats were missing so half of us ended up sitting on the floor for our fifteen minute cab ride. It was so exciting.

The Funnest Day!

When we found out our sweet friends the Henry's were moving to San Diego we were SO sad. On the other hand, we were really excited because we would be meeting them down there in just a few short months when Matt graduated! Nevertheless, to make up for our sadness we had some of the funnest days ever! We had big adventures all over the city seeing some of the sights that we had not seen before and visiting some of our favorite spots. There is so much to see and do in San Francisco I just love it! One Saturday we decided to go to Coit Tower, ride the trolley downtown, and do some window shopping and playing in the elevator at the Westin St. Francis - if you have not ridden in one of the tower elevators it is a must! So much fun and great views of Union Square. In order to have enough energy for our fun filled day we started out at Mama's for some deliciousness. This first picture is Maddie taking care of baby Cal while we waited in line.
